They should have had the Musers start at 7:00am (or maybe 6:45)...and go longer into the morning. All it means now is that I switch to podcasts earlier.
7-10 would be great.
Yep. That actually gives them more sleep. It also hits all/most of drive time, and reduces the amount of spareness on after them. It also means they dont have to pay Donnie/Matt for that next hour.
Not sure why they didnt go that route
Ratings start at 6.
5:30A to 6:45A - Ticket Top 10 from the previous day and finish with the 8:40 bit replay, so essentially your 6A ratings start coincides with the best of the previous day and the popular 8:40 bit.
6:45A to 7A - Expanded Ticker
7-8: Open (10 min), O-Deck (10 min), Sports Seg 1 (20 min)
8-9: Muse (10 min), Sports Seg 2 (10 min), Random Seg 1 (10 min), 8:40 bit (10 min)
9-10: Corner (15 min), Sports Seg 3 (10 min), Random Seg 2 (10 min), Mix (5 min)
One Gordo anchor per hour. One sports segment per hour (plus a longform right out of the gate for the biggest sports story in the news cycle, and that could be split depending on what's going on). Two random segments to give flexibility (guests, travel stories, etc.).
Hosts get more sleep in the AM, still done before lunch, still reduced schedule. Primo ticket material during prime drive time in the morning. Keeps Donnie and Matt from having to stretch.
