Agreed too. It is the best it has been in 8-10 years. Dave's ability to go to the edge of inappropriate humor and dark humor has caused both Bob and Corby to lighten up which was much needed. Also Dave knows sports which has forced Corby to start paying more attention.powerbelly said:Quote:

I like Davey. Danny is fine but it seemed like Corby really brought out Cloud Danny. Together they got to be insufferable

My listening has settled into Gordo Musers segments and some Hardline. Bob led segments are the best; the rest is hit and miss but I'll stay with a fair amount of it. Back to spotify the rest of the day
Musers and Hardline are fine. Hell, even Donnie and Matt are ok, Matt is below average but Donnie helps boost that slot. 1-3 is terrible, it seems like you'd need a heavy hitter and then either Sean or Mino but not both.

For a long time I wasn't listening to the Hardline at all but I've started back in again for Bob's sports thoughts and E News.
Out after 8:40 and usually catch 20 minutes of the HL on the way home.. unless Joel Klatt is on or they're talking Cowboys. Then I'll just download podcasts of the contractually obligated Stars interviews.

Why does the ticket go to Terrell all day when it's ou/tu weekend? I would think they could set up shop at the state fair and have some great interviews, etc. I know it comes down to what company is willing to pay $$$

my routine... musers on free version usaveit acct. catch gordo, troy, brian jones. other than that just see what they posted for ticket top 10 and generally catch about 1-2 non-muser segments a day from there (like afternoon jub). also usually give the free dumbzone podcasts a listen.

I'm glad he's moved on and sincerely hope he's enjoying retired life, but man, after all the Jerruh stuff that happened today, I kinda wish they'd bring Norm back as a guest for one last unhinged Cowboys rant. Never realized how much I actually liked those until they were gone.
I loved how yesterday the Hardline was bashing Jerry and saying how hard it is to be in Jerry's back pocket. Particularly as a radio show, you can't ask him the questions that should be asked of a GM. You need someone who can be unbiased in their analysis and questions. And without missing a beat, they say "and next, we'll have David Moore on to break this all down for us."

I'm really enjoying the Hardline these days, along with the Musers.

I typically listen to the Musers, put on The Dumbzone, tune back in at 3 and listen to the Hardline. Sometimes I listen a little earlier than 3, and hear Monty and enjoy his segments.

and to be fair, not that I'm a Jerry defender by any stretch, he did not threaten to fire who ever asked that question that got him upset.

i disagree, he was definitely threatening to fire him imo. which is confusing because its not his radio station and i highly doubt he has enough pull to make that happen, but on the other hand i'm not 100% sure.
This isn't an accurate representation of his feelings, either. Later last night - after he had time to cool off and reconsider - he dropped this gem to The Athletic:
"I don't know that I would go as far as (calling) the volume connotation as yelling," Jones said. "OK? But the facts are that if I'm going to be grilled by the tribunal, I don't need it to be by the guys I'm paying. I can take it from fans and take it from other people. I take a lot of pride in how fair and how much I try to work with the media, we're brothers and sisters. But I was a little frustrated there today."
He also dropped this deep thought:
"The wrong ones were doing the questioning. Now, if those had been real fans sitting there or if there had been people that knew what they were talking about, football people, I might have had a different answer."
He has got to be an absolute piece of garbage to work for. No wonder his subordinates have to be is neurodivergent failsons and faildaughter. That organization is full of slack-jawed yokels living off of the dumbest fan base in sports.
They're going to sell off a significant minority stake of this team to a PE investor as soon as they possibly can since they've already leveraged up the organization with debt as much as as possible to fund their other family ventures. Honestly, I'm impressed what these yokels have accomplished, but again...this is the dumbest fanbase in sports.
