What is with Corby (and others) fascination with wanting Aggies and Jimbo to admit that NIL played a part in recruiting? It definitely feels like what Bob was saying... we start to see some success on and off the field and immediately they have to come up with an excuse "just admit you got lucky!" "just admit you wouldn't be able to do it except for NIL" "Just admit the only reason you finished top 4 was because of covid!"

Corby MUST HATE not living in an echo chamber or having someone challenge his CFB talk on the hardline now. It used to be Bob was just trying to be objective even when his kid first announced going to A&M. Now he seems to revel in Corbys suffering by being more and more pro-A&M.

For real. Just because it hasn't happened doesn't mean it can't. Corby's beloved "blue bloods":

- Michigan is 37 years and counting since it's last national championship.
- Penn st. is at 36
- tOSU went 32 years before their 2002 championship
- sip went 35 years between championships and has one in the modern era
- Clemson went 35 years between championships
- UGA went 41 years.
- LSU went 45 before 2003
- Florida had never won one before 1996
- Florida St won their first in 1993

The modern era blue bloods - Bama, Clemson, tOSU, LSU - were all built they same way - great coaches building upon great recruiting. Jimbo is using that model.

Maybe Corby is right, and we'll never win anything, but modern college football history says otherwise. His over reliance on the past and inability to acknowledge what Jimbo is doing in the present is nothing more than raw emotion and bias.
