As I’m packing to leave town tonight I get a call from a radio industry source saying Live 105.3 drive-time host Russ Martin was arrested Friday morning in Southlake for assaulting his girlfriend.

today was so great to have all back in order! the last 2 weeks have been Ticket hell.

Had Richie Witt had a chance in hades of a permanent spot on the Ticket, he would be singing a different tune altogether...after listening to that interview posted above, it seems like he has a lot of sour grapes...like Richie's feelings are hurt because he was as much of an insider as he thought...

What "went down" with Big Dick Hunter on the Ticket?

I didn't listen back then, but it sounds like sour grapes on his part as well.

Big Dick got canned because his ratings weren't high enough. A lot of folks at the Ticket feel like he got a kind of crappy deal because he did FAR more with that undesirable timeslot than anyone else in years. But the advertising all day and night has got to fund that 500k Greggo salary, so if they were getting that much more listenership during Big Dick's Top 10, it's hard to blame them for the decision.

Did Big Dick originally do a Top 10 before doing the WAC? I used to listen to him a lot (sadly because I was lots of time leaving work then). Now sometimes I'm fortunate enough to be in the car for E-News.
