Lots of lighting - got some rain. We need a massive flood event - sorry in advance for those who will be negatively impacted by that when it comes.
another round came in later but I don't think it was very much. Streets were dry this morning and lawn was only damp. Hopefully the round on Sunday actually happens.

Gauge has 1.71 inches since 6:00pm last night. That is literally as much rain as we've had in the last 4 months combined ! Hallelujah !
What's nice also is that it was spread out over several hours, so that a lot of it had a chance to actually soak in instead of running off.
Ended up getting some. Rain Guage had. 25 in it this morning.
Surprise quick shower just rolled through Frisco maybe 30 - 45 minutes ago. Sidewalk is already dry but still damp spots on the road.

We used 20k gallons. Highest usage in the 5 years we've been in this house. Watered the backyard since we have a pool but gave up on the rest of the grass. Focused watering on the foundation, trees and of course kept the pool level high enough so the pump could run.

Geez, do yall have leaks? I have a pretty good sized yard that is totally green, had to put water in my pool almost every other day, and just got my bill, $275.

Looks like the hail (and storm) fizzled out when it got Rockwall. Wish for more rain but I will settle for the no large hail trade off.
Felt like hurricane force winds while I was trying to get chicken off the grill earlier in Fort Worth. Outdoor tv was flying 360 and I was slipping trying to close the back door against the wind.

Got clouds billowing up in a circle around us in North Dallas. It'll either collapse on us in a mini-apocalypse, or we'll remain in a donut of humid nothingness.
Pretty crazy winds and rain here in North Oak Cliff the last 15-20 mins. Tons of lightning, but no hail so far.
Fingers crossed the northern burbs catch some rain out of round two forming up along the red river.
Nearby stations showing 0.09". Yay.
Ended up catching almost an inch (per NWS Rockwall station. Our electricity has been off since 1AM with an estimated restoration of 11AM. Hope the kid's school isn't affected.
Definitely got some last night in McKinney. Had what sounded like small hail for a solid chunk of time as well.

I looked at historical doppler around that 1am time frame (we lost power briefly).
More of the same... band of storms went right around us to the north and then proceeded to blast central and eastern Collin, Grayson, and Hunt/Fanin counties.

It's a guarantee. Massive coverage all the way to near OKC. Already entering the northern and western parts of DFW.
