In south aledo, just getting to us now. Mostly wind, little bit of rain. Power has gone out 3x for about 10s each time.

Definitely hitting in waves. Gusts are bouncing my truck on its springs. And it is directly parallel with the winds.

One of the few good things about living close to the downtown bubble is we usually get spared from disaster weather. Looks like it happened again.
Neighbor said they were pulling into the hood when it hit. Saw a couple transformers blow so I'm probably in the dark till tomorrow.

Was at the Weatherford hospital in the ER. It lost power a few times & then the generators finally kicked in. When I left, absolutely no power on the north part of Weatherford from 20. Tree limbs down everywhere.
In Heath. Power blipped for 2 seconds. After that no problems. Wind wasn't even bad. A dud here but I know most areas weren't so lucky.
Just got power back after 4 hours.
Power back on here in prosper. Almost 5 hours. Hope the rest of the area gets power back asap.

5-6 big trees down in people's yards on my street. Blown over at the roots
Lineman have respect that I usually reserve for police, fire & paramedics. After that Labor Day weekend storm last year, they were working to restore power in my alley while lightning from another approaching wave was flashing in the distance.riverrataggie said:

In McKinney. Lost power around 630 right when we were finishing up cleaning up from dinner. didnt get it back until around midnight. the **** thing was the cell towers werent working either so we were completely in the dark, both literally and figuratively. couldnt get anything to load on our phones so couldnt text, update weather, etc.
driving around this morning i didnt see any major limbs down so sounds like my little area was spared pretty well.

agreed very quick!. i watched the sky light up blue multiple times last night from the lines going down. i was expecting to be waiting until mid day today.

Our neighbor has a tree in the back corner of their property, a big limb fell, taking out a section of a shared fence we have with a different neighbor. Looking forward to those conversations
Unless you can prove he neglected the care of that tree, I don't think he has any liability. It will be between the two owners insurance to figure it out.
