So far good rain is approaching East Dallas. Stalling out mile west. Picking back up Mile East.

Almost 1.5 inches here. Dogs started whining right before it started then wouldn't go out till it was over.

Well it may be roughly the same as living on the surface of Venus but could be worse. You could live in Tucson, Phoenix or Vegas and have a chance at having the remnants of a hurricane hit you.

I don't think they do two-a-days anymore. If they do I wonder if it's 4am and 11am, or mornings outside and evenings indoors. Anything after 2 is rough.

100 degree days as far as the eye can see. From what I've heard, the lack of a hurricane that could potentially push the high pressure system away is one culprit.

I remember in 2011 when the heat dome was settled in, there was a hurricane or tropical storm, Dan I think, that was making a beeline for the Texas coast. It hit shore and just disappeared. Feel like we're in the same situation right now.

Haven't seen rain now for two months. Last year topped out around 80 something days. Two of years of this is brutal.

Haven't seen rain now for two months. Last year topped out around 80 something days. Two of years of this is brutal.
I had to cut down two Japanese Coral Maples. Dead.

My next door neighbor lost a giant Oak in his front yard that partially shaded west side of my house. Now all of my landscape on that side is frying away.

Going to be a total loss over there. I'll have to replace it with cactus or just throw rock down and be done with it.
