I enjoyed watching Elections Administration Toni PIppins-Poole on television bragging on her mandating masks to vote.
Meanwhile, she had her nose sticking out of her mask. ie not properly worn.
Clay Jenkins problem is that he is running for governor and does not understand outside of North Texas, no one knows who he is.

I honestly had no idea who Clay Jenkins was before Covid and I have lived in Dallas for about 8 years!
He was at the forefront when Ebola made an appearance also.
I remember that pretty vividly but I guess I missed his news conferences at the time. The thing I remember the most about that was the nurse that caught it from treating one of the patients.

He also got himself on TV quite a bit a couple of years when he was pleading with Greg Abbott to allow more Syrian refugees into Texas.double aught said:

You could interpret almost any activity at a park as physical activity and thus be exempt. It really just has teeth for indoors where most of the community spread is happening.
As someone who has been fighting Covid for the last 10 days I'm willing to meet any of you that don't want to wear a mask. Would love to meet the mofo that refused to wear a mask and got me sick!!!!!
This virus doesn't care if you a f'ing liberal or Trump supporter. It will find the stupid and take them out. If we do not get it under control, kids will not be going back to school, we will not have football this fall. It is just common sense to wear a mask.

I think it's been a combination of the protests, things like bars reopening (and allowing people to pack in instead of following guidelines), Memorial Day/Summer parties (like the 300-kid party in Lakeway), and people generally letting their guard down. I'm not a liberal, been a Republican all my life, but just think it would go a lot better if people would just be smart for a while longer.TexasAggie008 said:

Remember, this is the guy that came up with the prediction for Clay Jenkins that half a million Texans would die in three months.

The government has said protesters are immune from this particular virus. What no one has figured out is that if we all just went out and protested tomorrow we would immediately defeat this thing.

Some would say the difference is: one is legislated and the other is a mandate from the governor. It's a pretty weak argument as far as I'm concerned.

It's an infringement. Grown-ups should be allowed to decide if they want to wear a seatbelt or not.
And if you disagree then why don't we go full force and outlaw Whataburger, I mean if it only saves one life. Pretty sure most of those that eat there are walking heart attacks anyways. Just think of all the money we'll save on medical care.
