I'm getting 3 down and 10 up, and paying for 100/100 I think. Seven years with Verizon and no issues. Frontier sucks.

Exact same thing on my end! They still haven't fixed a dang thing either even though I spend EVERY night talking with their support

Has anyone actually been able to get through to customer service on phone or via chat (which is never available ). I've never heard of Frontier until now. Where'd they come from?

I think back to when we were complaining to Verizon about getting the SEC network!!!!

Just found out this weekend that Frontier does not support SEC Network+ through the WatchESPN app.

WatchESPN still works for ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU and even ESPN3 but it blocks SEC Network+.

I had been using the Verizon login up until this weekend but that finally stopped working. If I wasn't potentially moving in a few months, I'd be on the phone with Dish today.

I'm moving away from Dish when we move. Their black levels are insanely poor. Makes watching dark shows, like GOT, very unpleasant.

I filed a bbb complaint against frontier today over the deceptive pricing practices today. We will see if anything happens.

That's unfortunate to hear about the picture quality for Dish. And it highlights the disappointment in the transition from Verizon to Frontier since I have had very few complaints about picture quality, internet speed, or reliability.

I'm not sure what Frontier's business plan or intent is in Texas (or elsewhere) but it looks like they are willing to just bleed customers due to poor service but hope enough customers remain to make a smaller profit.

Do you guys have phone service provided through FIOS? If so, you'll probably have better luck getting Frontier's attention by filing a complaint with the Public Utility Commission. TV/Internet aren't considered utilities yet, so no help there if that's all you have through them. I know in the past I've had issues with retail electric providers and filing a complaint with the PUC was the magic bullet to get things addressed quickly.

Still no WatchEspn as I keep getting user not authorized... Anyone experiencing the same?

**Update*** Finally got live chat to work and their response is merely lipservice; "we know there is an issue and are working on it". Wouldn't give a timeframe but said "it should be fixed soon."

Everytime you talk with them tell them about how your other local friends are having horrible experiences with Frontier. Stress how you will be forced to leave because you are in contract with them yet they will not even come close to honoring the contract you entered in with a different company despite them buying your contract from Verizon.

Let them know you are recording their conversations after they promise you this and that. If they don't follow through, inform them of the verbal contract you have record of with a frontier rep. They will quickly find a mysterious sudden change that fixes everything

Massive outage in Keller area last night. No internet for thousands of people. It took 3 hours for service people to "get on the scene" according to Frontier's twitter account. Reports were that Verizon Fios trucks were on the scene at the main distribution facility in the area.

How is TWC? They would be my option for internet. Don't need anything lightning fast, just solid and consistent. Haven't had any outages yet (knock on wood) but I was looking around a bit because of the total price even before the change.

I'm kinda disappointed Grapevine hasn't heckled Frontier yet! Oh well, this will likely make local news pretty soon.

I don't know that I believe them. They had something in the cross timbers gazette weeks ago saying there was no major issue. Short story, I don't believe anything they say.

Re: WatchESPN. That is pretty bizarre to have three different customers have three different levels of access to WatchESPN. Hopefully it is resolved before next weekend's baseball series at South Carolina since the Friday game is only on SEC Network+. I'm not counting on it though.

Paying for 75/75 Internet. Just tested and getting 25/35. I was routinely getting 75+/75+ in the past with Verizon.

So, I've gone from getting better server than what I was paying for to getting worse service for internet.

And they still haven't fixed any of the VOD issues. No HD programming available for a number of the tv networks I watch. And a number of networks are still not available.

Getting really frustrated with all of this as we go on 5 weeks since they took over.

Cancelled that crap last night. I was still under contract through October but got them to waive the early term fee. We picked up Time Warner for internet, and are going to try to go with just rabbit ears and netflix until football season. We'll be saving 90+ bucks a month.

FIL has been without home phone 10+ days. He filed a PUC complaint today. I'll report back if that makes a difference.

On a side note, how the heck is internet not considered a utility yet?
