Okay, I've over posted and am going on to new stuff but will leave this last tidbit, and the prediction that Save Austin Now will sue to remove our DA...if they can get the funding.

Austin is doing just fine y'all. Next time you want to call 311 to report that pesky pothole in your neighborhood, go ahead and report you getting robbed at the ATM too..... it all goes in the same file 13.

dang. Im one who tend to think people who carry are dorks looking for attention, but when the police are telling me to call 311 if I being robbed that tells me I need to start carrying. God forbid I have to defend myself, because I know this DA goes after people who defend themselves and not the people who are attacking people.

These politicians and prosecutors are turning us into absolute animals for political power.

Gov. Greg Abbott signed a total of eight public safety-related bills into law. Among them was HB 17, which aims to hold so-called "rogue district attorneys" accountable.

"These George Soros-backed woke DAs are refusing to do the job they were elected to do by the voters," said Marvin Riles, president of the Combined Law Enforcement Association of Texas (CLEAT).

Under the law, a DA's refusal to prosecute certain types of crimes would constitute "official misconduct." That would then allow the prosecutor to potentially be removed from office by a judge from outside that district.

doesnt offer people in jail/prison for defending themselves much comfort, knowing the DA could possibly maybe be removed.

For Austin, I'd like to see the Big Money Horns get involved.

The first time a couple of Old Bulldog Alumni get accosted on 6th street, its going to hit every fan board in the conference. That's going to reflect on tu as having a terrible game day experience.

While there is no way we get a Republican DA, they need to get a Red Neck Blue Dog Democrat on the ballot and no one else. Maybe the same with the City Council, but if at least the DA is changed, Abbott can send in the State Troopers and tell the City Council to **** off.

2nd time this week our office had to kick out a shoplifter. There is a guy that hit us twice in the past couple of months and he came in on Monday. I confronted him and explained that we have him on camera. I asked him to leave, or I'd call the cops. He ended up leaving without it escalating. About 30 min ago another guy came in to try to steal, same MO. They carry a backpack but leave it at the front or just outside our door.

They know we or the cops will do anything. I called 911 on Monday just to get someone on the phone and the guy would hear me describe him and see what his reaction would be.

Here's the kicker. I dialed 911 and an automated system picked up, no live person. I waited and listened to the message, but it took too long, and the guy eventually left.
