An intelligence bulletin has been sent by the FBI to surrounding law enforcement agencies and to DPS that Antifa is sending their "troops" from Portland to Austin for Saturday's protest. Their goal, according to the FBI's intelligence, is to take over Austin PD HQ. Information like this is not always correct but you should plan accordingly.
I can't reveal where this info came from. I do know that Antifa will not be treated as kindly as they have been in other states. Prayers for LE if things go south as it could. But it will be fun to watch on tv to show the nation how Texas LE handles Antifa.

DPS is sending 1,500 troopers and dozens of CID agents to Austin for the protest tomorrow. Mostly to guard the capital but to also be on standby if help is needed elsewhere. The troopers and CID agents I talked to are like kids waiting for the gates at Disneyland to open. They are eager for the challenge.
I have always been luke warm on Gov. Abbott. But throughout this I am liking him more and more. When there were protests at the Alamo his only directive to DPS was "do not let one damn hand touch the Alamo." There were no restrictions or limitations on how that should be achieved.
I will not quote what his directive to DPS is for tomorrow, but be assured that it will not be handled as Portland, Seattle and Atlanta have been handled. But keep in mind, the governor has no control over Austin PD. Or better put, has no control over what directives the mayor and city council give to Austin PD.
The protest is set for 6;00 tomorrow. DPS doubts that Antifa will show but all are prepared. There was talk about stopping the buses at the state line, so obviously the intell is that they are coming to Texas in buses. I am not a conspiracy theorist, but someone is financing these protests and paying for 4 or 5 bus trips to Texas is a real possibility. Even my 91 year old FIL, who cannot remember what he ate for breakfast this morning, asked me the other day who was financially supporting the protests and protesters. A great observation by a 91 year old!

I think there are some videos of "investigative reporters" infiltrating Antifa or Antifa-like groups. I think there are both far left and far right type people who contribute to violence and destruction, I think they have a shared desire for some degree of anarchy and then they think their wonderful ideas will fill the gap after that anarchy shakes up the system.

FWIW, drove down 15th heading north a half hour ago. Both left lanes occupied by DPS SUV's all turning left at Colorado. Must have been 50 vehicles from there back up to 35. Came back through 10 minutes later and same thing.

DPS troopers are definitely on their way to Austin. I passed at least 25 dps vehicles between lampasas and Snyder None were patrolling. All moving with intent . I guessed at the time there must be a convention in Austin. Sort of right. Other blogs are posting same info.
It's so weird to me that some people think a large, organized conglomerate with coast-to-coast logistics and infrastructure shifting hoodlums from city to city is more plausible than people everywhere just being pissed about certain things. I guess it makes sense that they'd buy their hammers and crowbars locally though. I can imagine they'd increase luggage fees substantially on their Frontier flight to Austin from Portland.

There may be something to this. I went to Central Market and there were no Molotov cocktails nor spray paint on shelves. Something is going on.
