Just a heads up for the Austin people who might venture downtown this Saturday. There is already a protest planned in downtown for this weekend.
An intelligence bulletin has been sent by the FBI to surrounding law enforcement agencies and to DPS that Antifa is sending their "troops" from Portland to Austin for Saturday's protest. Their goal, according to the FBI's intelligence, is to take over Austin PD HQ. Information like this is not always correct but you should plan accordingly.
I can't reveal where this info came from. I do know that Antifa will not be treated as kindly as they have been in other states. Prayers for LE if things go south as it could. But it will be fun to watch on tv to show the nation how Texas LE handles Antifa.
You sourced The Intercept. How about something even halfway credible?SteveBott said:
What are you talking about? I sourced the far right is causing as much trouble if not more then the left. Plenty of trouble makers in both sides

FWIW, drove down 15th heading north a half hour ago. Both left lanes occupied by DPS SUV's all turning left at Colorado. Must have been 50 vehicles from there back up to 35. Came back through 10 minutes later and same thing.
DPS BBQ??
No knowledge of what might be happening in the current instance, but there's been similar stories all over the country of protestors getting "bussed in" and the like with zero actual evidence to show for it.thomas20:29 said:what about this weekend? i just got a neighborhood message saying they saw buses unloading downtown very early this morning...SW AG80 said:

This is just intelligence. No actual evidence until, and if, they show up.

I guess if you had been at Normandy in June 1944 and saw members of the Ost Battalion you would have said, "holy hell boys we're fighting the Russians and Koreans too!"Quote:

I thought those guys were always there? I stand corrected if wrong.
Seriously though, I love 24 miles from downtown. The most exciting thing that happens here is when a tractor trailer gets halfway tossed off of the 183/45 interchange.

Antifa has no organization or troops. There is no leader or methodology for them to centrally mobilize. It's a scattered array of people across the country. Very similar to jade helm - it is the right wing media's favorite scare tactic.
