Was Yarings still around in the 1990s. Went there on weekends in the early to mid 70s.

I don't really care fthat much or catfish, but I theirs I could eat.

Great place (until they lost their liquor license, and that was that).

Oh, I have some good stories about that night...

I think the statute of limitations is up on that.

I threw up on "Red" at the Redmond Terrace Barbershop in 1976 or 7. I still owe him a shirt from Gibson's which was nextdoor to Academy.

Half Priced Books used to be on Texas Avenue, in an old building in Bryan.

I used to go to Floppy Joes all the time. Remember them?

Used to go to Winn Dixie on 29th Street - that's gone too...

Dead Lazlos coffee shop on Northgate.

Club Extreme in the Westgate shopping center would get so packed folks would park along the train tracks on Wellborn Road and walk over.

China Garden buffet, behind what is now the Walgreens at Texas/Villa Maria, had a sunken buffet with tiny cheese cake squares and the best egg rolls ever!

Fine casual dining at Cafe Eccell which was in the original historic City Hall, and eating that delicious strawberry tart.

Going to wild drunken parties after Bonfire and everyone had their tv sets tuned to KAMU where they live streamed the Bonfire burning for days. Once the last ember went out they stopped broadcasting immediately.

Yeah I was surprised it used to be a book store given how small the space is.

I loved this location. I sold some of my old college textbooks there. Very 'homey' inside with creaking wooden floors, different rooms of books to explore, and most were actually used books. The new location just not have the same atmosphere or inventory.

Was originally Congdon's Bakery.

I liked Half Price when they were there as the building had a funky atmosphere which much added to the store (all used book stores should have a funky ambiance, imho).

It was in the Queen, not sure if it had a name. I saw Ian Moore there and had to move out to the sidewalk because it was too loud. like 11 loud.

There was a radio station across the street too. You would have to DM me for that story.
