3/10" in N Grimes County. I'm 4 miles east of the river.

Semi steady rain at Carter Creek. I'll take it.

Not a drop here near Lyons (Somerville Lake area). July 28th was the last time we saw rain here, today will mark our 50th consecutive day of being rainless. Interestingly the 9/15/24 article below states "If you think it rains a lot in your city, it's not your imagination. Researchers at the University of Texas at Austin found that 60% of urban areas get more rain than their rural surroundings." After living here for 40 years I believe and have always said the opposite is true for lakes #somervilledome.

I recently (9/5) commented on a post from Max Crawford regarding upcoming weather "If you could order up ANY type of weather right now, what would it be?"
Me: Rain/RAIN/rain. Not a drop here at Lyons/Somerville since late JULY!!!!!
