In line at West Holleman and 2818 now. Watching 2-3 cars make it to the middle of the 2818 main lanes at each light change.

It's gonna be bad in a little bit.
I noticed a larger than normal number of vehicles using the underpass to avoid the Holleman/2818 intersection this morning. I guess that is still be an option until they get the morning timing figured out.

I believe they were out adjusting the signal timing mid morning at Holleman/2818.

They were supposed to have the Wellborn/Holleman side done weeks ago! I haven't seen anyone working on it in ages!

It can not be completed until Union Pacific completes their portion of the rail crossing.

With a rail workers' strike looming, that crossing will be at the top of their list. And Capstone/Barron. And Deacon.

I drove through there last night. One of the things I noticed that was causing a bit of a hang up, at least on westbound Holleman, is that there's enough of a delay between when the light for the northbound 2818 side of the intersection turned green and the one at southbound 2818 turning green.

It was enough of a delay that the lead car had to come to almost a complete stop, which led to a chain reaction of brake lights that probably reduced the number of cars that were able to get through by one or two.

Green light for wb Holleman x nb 2818 was roughly 20 seconds. Longer than I expected.

The timing of the lights is horrible. WAY worse than it was before. Biggest problem is 2818 and GB. That cycle needs to be longer for the 2818 traffic. Gotta let more through with each cycle.

I timed the light at 2818 and Bush heading north and it was only green for 37 seconds. That is absolutely ridiculous during the morning traffic when everyone is heading toward campus. Add in the fact that the lights before that do not seem to be coordinated and it backs things up all the way to Holleman.

Took 15 minutes to get from Holleman through the Bush intersection this morning. Never took that long, even with traffic, before they screwed with the lights.

Its clear they can't handle this on their own. Hire a firm to help you out.

Yesterday I was on Bush at 2818. Waiting to turn left to head towards Holleman, Wellborn, etc.

Lady next to me in a little SUV proceeds across the first set of 2818 lanes and we wait for the light to change so I can turn left onto 2818 southbound and she can go straight? Maybe? Not many people heading to the backside of the airport on Sunday but ok.

Light changes. I start my left turn. She turns right into oncoming traffic because those are the lanes she is used to. She was able to pull off into the closed lanes pretty quickly when she realized what was going on.

I'm not sure how she didn't notice that first set of lanes we crossed with cars that had been going the direction she wished to travel.

I said this last week. Huge issue there in the morning. Still not fixed….

They already have an engineering firm doing all the work…
During the open house for this project I asked many questions about signal timing during and immediately after construction. They will get it fixed, it will just waste a lot of everyone's time until they do so…

The contractor is still working on the signal timing tweaks. When the east(south?)bound 2818 lanes are moved later this week, the correct offset time (the difference between the green indication shown at the two intersections) will also change. We're hoping that offset gets shorter - as you ask.
Hope you're taking advantage of the two left turn lanes when you need them!! Its been a struggle to get people to use that right lane.

The contractor is still working on the timing - it wont be today, but hopefully you'll see some improvements soon. I'm hoping to be surprised, but I think congestion will be a little worse than before - they havent added any lanes, and the intersections are larger meaning longer yellow phases to allow traffic to get through the intersection.

Maybe you can have someone pick up the bumper and license plate that are in the road at West Holleman and 2818. Someone might have been confused or hurried today.

Traffic is at a stand still and the worst i've ever seen this morning on west bound 2818. The lights are totally jacked up.

Yep. Sitting in another cluster**** This shouldn't be hard to figure out! Allow 2818 to flow more per light cycle!

Looking at google maps, it looks like the light at bush may be better but now Luther is the issue. Luther may have been bad all along but tough to tell when it is backed up because of the light at bush. That's were the engineers should have been out there watching traffic and looking at the timing and realizing their short ass green times for northbound 2818 during the morning were terrible.
Traffic signal timing is not overly difficult. It just takes someone who is competent and some techs to adequately apply it to the controllers.

What a nightmare this morning. Surely someone here knows someone who knows someone who can get this fixed. Light at Luther is the single point of failure.........................

Are they going to put up appropriate signage? NB signage approaching the WZ is incorrect after the switch, I did not view all the southbound signage but there needs to be a better left turn lane for bush, there needs to be lane designation signs as the intersection is approached (My couple drives through have seen lots of people unsure of correct lane) and they need to remove the two way left turn lane arrows from the area where the left turn lane currently starts.

Rusty Surette is sharing tweets about the delay now. That should help increase the response.

Took the right lane after the game Saturday and almost got hit by the cars in the left lane.

I think you need better signage.

Yep I tried to take Wellborn all the way to 60 today. That was not any better with the traffic it seemed. When I got to the exit ramp to get on to 60 traffic from the ramp was back up to the bridge, so could tell was not the only one that tired this. At this point I may just hit the by pass and shoot down University or Briarcrest/VM because why the hell not....

I ended up doing this as well. I got near 2818 on wellborn and saw 2818 at a complete standstill and figured I'd give wellborn all the way a try. There is simply no good way right now.

Today was even worse. I timed Holleman and George Bush this morning. Bush green for 25 secs. Holleman was green for 13 seconds. 13 SECONDS!! Someone needs to be fired for failing so spectacularly. It literally took me an hour to get from Jones Crossing to Bryan. And to top it off some moron from Knife River did a u-turn in the middle of 2818 just past University. People were slamming brakes and swerving to avoid him.
