Over here near Castlegate II, we have runner dude. Older dude with head scarf who runs and runs and runs. You will see him all over south College Station.

The white towel lady I see around NG usually in colder months.
The old man that would hang perpendicular on the street poles and looked like he was hanging but sideways. Hadn't seen him in years though.

Had a lady in a silver car with two kids in back ask me for money in the TP HEB parking lot just before thanksgiving.
I think I've seen her at Kroger but might be a different woman.
Not sure eccentrics (unicycle guy) are strictly comparable to poor/homeless people as "characters."

Before I moved, there was a guy looking like Jesus or Moses with beard and robe who would walk and wave at cars.
And then (only exception to fly's comment) there was the homeless lady always dressed in white sheets. I know Batson at the then west end elixr got her a hotel room a few years ago when temps were going to be in the teens.

Out in woodcreek there's a fella named Chris. At least I think his name is Chris. We wears all white all the time, white ski cap, white sweater, white pants. We think he lives in the woods. You can see him walking to and fro to spec's to refuel.

That's Jericho (correct me if I'm wrong). Is been in and out of Brazos County jail multiple times for various reasons… most of them for assault type offenses.
He will occasional start yelling at traffic, not just watch traffic.
A few months ago, he was on the corner of Deacon/Texas by Wings N More. I had the window down on my truck… he came over spouting off about some gibberish then threatened to kick my ass and to "never forget that".
I showed restraint but all he has to do is do it to the wrong person carrying. Sad really.
I do know that folks have brought him food from time to time but he is quite unstable.

Yes, Bart was the MSC guy in the shortest shorts ever. Even when short shorts were the style, his were ultra short. He was actually a runner back in the day.

Shirtless headband guy that always looks down is looking for trash to pick up when he runs (well he used to run but now is more of a shuffle tho I can't judge as he goes faster than I do.....) He must live near me as he starts with nothing in his hands and returns with arms full of trash that people throw on the side of the road. He is performing a public service while exercising so I so I say more power to him.

Is the Colonel still hanging around Northgate? I used to eat lunch at the Chicken on Fridays a long time ago and he would hang around on the back porch.
Ah the Illinois quad, a true gathering spot for characters. There was a math professor there, "Mad Max" who quit to become a preacher on the quad. Very entertaining.
