You're welcome. I'm always amazed at the distance and the speed. It looks overhead but it's out over the gulf. Over Mexico, another state etc.. Cruising along at 17,000 mph / 4.6 miles per second

I don't care how many times I've seen it, I still get a little emotional. Amazing technology witnessed by a technodolt - wild there are people living on that thing traveling 17,500mph.

Apparently two passes tonight (Sunday):
6:21 ... A bright arc in the northwest sky arcing up to the north.
Then at 7:59, a low pass across the western sky going southerly.
Somebody explain to me how it goes it what feels like two different directions within an hour and a half? I know there is a scientific reason, but I am too dense to visualize it.

Good question. Here are the two ground tracks.

This shows the present location , along wit the path 1.5 hours ago (yellow) and 1.5 hours in the future (white). Notice how the track shifts. It just completed the pass on the bottom ground track. The yellow line shows the previous track to the north. I penciled in what I think was the 1st ground track.
