Space station making a pass on the northern sky at 8:54 tonight.

Got a nice view of it from the pool while drinking an ice cold Corona, the official beer of space.

Nice high pass until it slipped behind the clouds well to the south. Thursday night 8:54. Looks like a high arc north to south passing right through the big dipper.

Perseid meteor shower peaks tonight along with 30+ satellites. Moon may be too bright to see any of it though. It was really bright last night.

We caught about 10 satellites last night but not one Perseid ... hopefully tonight with our backs to the moon will work!

I didn't have time to find and bump this thread at the time, but did anyone else get to see the "ISS eclipse" from a week or so back? The ISS crossed between the sun and the moon, so it cast a shadow on the moon that was big enough to see. I randomly saw that it was going to happen 5 minutes beforehand and was able to run outside and see it.

Should be a good one tonight for ISS viewers. SW to NE starting at 6:07 with the added bonus of a string of starlink satellites. Clouds are supposed to start breaking up in the late afternoon/ early evening so maybe someone will get lucky.
