Hey AAB. seems like it's now later in the summer. I have an idea. I recently recruited my friend and business neighbor, Smokin Joe to be in our league. he plays in a league, but it is not PPR. he said some of his guys might want to join a PPR league. should i ask him if he can fill our spots with people from his league?

Assuming we end up with enough teams...

Week 1 Preseason is the weekend of Aug 13 -- Too early for a draft
Week 2 Preseason is the weekend of Aug 20 -- Borderline too early for a draft, but could be a possibility
Week 3 Preseason is the weekend of Aug 27 -- Probably a good time, preferably after most of the games have been played that weekend... Sunday night draft? Aug 28
Week 4 Preseason is the weekend of Sept 3 -- Also opening weekend for A&M football -- Possible draft date would then be Sunday, Sep 4
Regular Season games start September 8

So I'm suggesting either Sunday evening (Aug 28) or Sunday evening (Sep 4) as options for the draft. Thoughts?

I am pretty open date wise. I like the last weekend in August the best.

I will be in country then. Evening of Aug 28 would work for me. Sept 4 I will be gone again.

For me it will depend on if we have anything going at FUNgineering that afternoon.

I would prefer 2 if possible, or even maybe 4 or 5. Starting later than that will make for a long night.

evening works better for me, since I have so many chores to do on Sunday since that is my only day off.

if i remember correctly, last year we were supposed to start at 7 pm, but we actually got started by 7:30 by the time we got everybody good to go. draft was over by 9:30. thats 2 hrs.could we start it at 6:00? should be over by 8:00 pm.

Side question... Are we going to use the same draft website as last year? Or will we go straight through the ESPN draft?

We can use either. The only issue with the ESPN draft system is I don't think you can pause it if we want to take a break, and I think the timer can't be changed.

I did. He should have an invite by now. That puts us at 10! If he has another I think I can talk my friend into a team for 12.....
