Seriously, this does stink for the local family.

Why was the other thread deleted? And why would this one be deleted? No one knows the facts, but we do know he was arrested for prostitution? It sucks for the "local celebrity", but doesn't that come with putting yourself out there?

Speculation, but the other threads mentioned the person's name and they are very well thought of in the area as well as read this forum regularly.

Also speculation, but this thread will likely stay as the private information has now been released in media reports.

The other thread linked to the original Chronicle article that was posted this morning. There was no speculation or rumor.

KBTX didn't pick up the story until this afternoon. Just a guess, but it looks like KBTX borrowed the pics from the HCSO by way of The Chronicle (if you searched for them on the HCSO website this morning, no results were found).

My prayers are with them all. 'The celeb' is one of the finest men on the planet, and I know this must be so hard for him, his wife, and his family. This charge is no reflection on 'the celeb' and his wife. May God grant them all healing and strength.

I meant I was speculating on why they were deleted, and that the thread contained personal information when connecting to a local that also reads this forum regularly.
After KBTX and surely other media outlets have now reported the connection, chances are that this thread will stay as it is about what others have reported rather than divulging personal information.

The rather crass thread title is probably why the other thread was deleted.

T&P for the local family members. This is not a reflection on them.

This man (local celeb) is one of the most honorable people around. I hope he knows this is NO reflection on him and we all have family members who do stupid things. T&P

If you have not received the detailed guide on who to dogpile and who not then I'm sorry, I cannot divulge that information nor the time/place of our secret meetings(HH). I cannot tell you about our encrypted network for organizing and communicating (forum 31), nor tell you about our secret hand shake.

We like outsiders to believe that we just dogpile on peckerwoods that deserve it, and feel bad for good people in the community when unfortunate things happen.

There is absolutely no reason to dogpile Tom. He is one of the sweetest and most respected men I know and this case has no reflection on him as a person or a parent.

Tom is a great man who as done many great things for this community. I would hope that it is possible to differentiate the actions of an individual from those of their parent(s).

I will agree that the previous thread title was quite crass. However, I would've like to have seen it edited rather than the action that was taken.

Tom has always been nice to me personally. He strikes me as an honest man who is sincere about being a force for good in our community. This situation must be painfull for him. I wish him the best in getting through it.

Maybe I'm lost, but many of you are acting like Tom is being "dogpiled" on and "dredged thru the mud". Did something happen in the other thread? I certainly don't see anything here.
