Granzins is my favorite store bought, especially their jalapeno version.
My favorite is Greens in Zabcikville, however that is a long way from West University when I have Praseks by way of HEB about 2 blocks away

My HEB used to carry Eckermans in links. I would buy them often. HEB sucks sometimes. No longer have topo Chico twist of lime, either.

I do want to say, the best deer dry sausage has been Granzin's. Best deer processor dry sausage I have had so far.
The best processor dry link we have tried is Outback in Harper. That is where we have gone the last 5 years.
We took 6 deer to them last year. Had them pull the backstraps and tenderloins. Then had all remainder turned into a combination of dry link (extra hot extra dry), jalapeño cheese summer sausage and snack sticks, and smoked link sausage. I had never paid to process deer and I gotta say they did a fantastic job. Will be taking deer there again this year.
Bellville Meat Market hands down is the best.

There has been a nationwide shortage of Topo Chico, it's not an HEB thing.
I feel like I have the last 4 bottles in Texas. I hate having to ration them!!!

I like Wiatrek's and they are just down the road from me. They have chili pequin sticks that are pretty toasty.

You bet. Also wanted to let you know we get smoked dried Turkey, Pork and Beef from New Braunfels Smoke House. They ship to us. Basically we cut some of that and smoked cheddar cheese I cold smoke and that is our lunch each day.

I am from F'burg (thus the handle); until I retire Houston is my primary; we have a camp in Sublime and a lake house in Northern Arkansas. So I am a little all over the place.
I have gone to Janaks a few times. It is good stuff, but I am fairly neutral on their dry ring. Really like their jalepeno and cheese summer.
Their stock/availability varies from time to time but I've enjoyed the products at Vincek's in East Bernard.

The best part is when you go into the store, and they have the big rack that is in the process of drying, so you can choose the level of "dryness" you like.

Penshorn Meat Market in Marion has fantastic bucksticks and jerky. I had them make over 200 bucksticks last year from my elk. We're still feasting on the elk bucksticks and hope to clean out the freezer in the next couple weeks before I head to WY for a moose hunt to replenish the freezer...

Back in the day there was a Texaco station in Boerne at 46 and Cibolo Creek called Riverside Market. They had my favorite dried sausage. That place has been gone about 10-15 years. I miss the old Boerne.

I have some of both from a 2021 deer (sort of forgot about it in the bottom of a chest freezer) and ate some of the summer sausage a few weeks ago. It had a little mold on the casing but I wiped it down and it was fine.
