What are people's thoughts about cinnamon shore? We've gone to watercolor/seaside for years, and obviously it won't quite be that yet, and the water will never be like that, but is this becoming a good beach destination in Texas?

Be ready to drop 10-12k for a rental beach house in Texas. Have never been myself but have multiple friends that have gone with their in-laws and they all talk about how nice it is but say they are glad their in-laws are paying for it.

We went this past summer and we also frequent 30A. The sand/water is nothing close but the vibe is very similar. We really liked the fact that everything is on-site restaurants, shops, events, pools, etc.). It's pricey (I think $500/night for a one bedroom with bunk nook), but it saved us net 6 hours on the drive. If my MIL didn't have a house for us to stay off 30A then I think we'd definitively return often. I would recommend springing for the golf cart (6-seater even) as you can take it everywhere on-site and also onto the beach.

Yes it's awesome. Lisabella's is a great restaurant. Beach conditions vary greatly. Wouldn't want to live there as everything is so packed in tight but it's great to visit.

Went this past summer. It most certainly wasn't 10 to 12K. Had a blast. Condo was nice. Beaches were nice. Water was incredibly clear. Definitely rent the golf cart. Also, the newer area which is down the beach from the original is very nice and we would look to stay there if we went back.

We stayed in the new part that's still under construction (which gave us a discount). Was very nice, get the golf cart. We will be back.

Stayed there a few years ago with little grandkids. Only problem for us we paid for the amenities we didn't use… kids too little to stay up for movies outdoors… s'mores etc.

We now rent a private house with a pool. It works out great for us. When just hubby and I go 3 or 4 times a year… usually stay at sandcastle.

We've gone the last two years with my parents and my sister's family. We go towards the end of September to miss the crowd and get discounted prices (none of our kids are in school yet, so no issues there).

We stay in the original Cinnamon Shore but ride golf carts to Cinnamon Shore South to use their pools and splashpad for the kids.

We love it. I don't have anything negative to say. Houses are nice, the community is nice, the onsite restaurants are great, etc.

Cinnamon Shores great, stayed there several times, but we prefer Palmillo Resort. Has the golf course, is closer to town, every bit as nice as Cinnamon Shores, but priced a bit less, and great restaurants.

We went there for my birthday last March. It is expensive. I love the place but there was thick fog that weekend. We were in South. I think North is the newer one.
