Yep. And surprisingly the meat was still good. The deer had not been dead very long when we found him…. He wasn't even stiff yet, and the back straps were still hot when we cleaned.

I could never get away with this. If I am not tucked back in some cover, with good back cover, I can barely blink my eyes without spooking our deer.

zero chance I could draw on deer at our place with this set up

in this spot, nope. nothing in front. but tons of stuff behind breaking up my silhouette. sun stays behind me as well for much of the day. but we have other stands where you have to be really brushed in.

Got my first buck ever with a bow yesterday afternoon. Just pigs and doe prior to this. Pretty surreal experience. Not the best picture but it's the only one I had.

Finally made a sit this morning. Never ending supply of scrawny 8s on the river bottom and the one fat ******* I wanted a better look at was waiting on me when I got there. Settled for a hamburger deer and a steak deer instead.
