Not going to lie. I thought it was next weekend. This is the first weekend in forever I haven't been motivated due to practically no deer on camera. Good luck to anyone else going.

Like Giddings, just not seeing much. And all the does still have spotted fawns.

Been shooting bows with my oldest. She's improving fast but not quite there on consistency. Going to give it a week or so and see where we are.

I have to wait until Sunday to start. I'm at a Seminar in Kerrville Friday and Saturday. I've got 3 hosses on my camera and I'll take any one of them if they show up. The biggest I caught standing directly under my 35gal barrel feeder. Has good mass with antlers extending 2-3 inches outside the barrel. 13pnt. He's my main target.

No luck with the deer, but did pull off something I didn't think possible. Killed three pigs with one arrow, using a 125gr Muzzy out of a 70lb Bow.

I will be out manana and possibly Sunday morning, depending on how the Turkey treats me on Saturday night.

Have 2 10 pointers we are chasing. One is a really good deer, the other is a monster (for my area) that gets me all tingly in places when I see him on camera. A handful of other shooter bucks as well.

I'll be ecstatic if a doe were to walk out though, even a pig. Might arrow the red squirrel that has figured out how to get in the cage of my feeder too.

First time in stand this morning. Saw 3 deer in the pasture as I pulled in and had a doe bust me as I was setting up. Nothing moving, too calm.

Probably will stick to morning hunts with this heat. Have a shooter on camera.

hot and dry for Texas this October. Going into La Niña usually means hot and dry weather into late fall unfortunately
