Me and another great Aggie are headed to George West tomorrow afternoon for some dove, and then on to POC for some trout and reds. Looking forward to a weekend on the water already!

Headed to Uvalde area this morning for a weekend of dove hunting.

I think it's central zone, but either way I'm going dove hunting.

U.S. 90 is the dividing line between the Central Zone and the South Zone in Uvalde County, so as of yesterday it's glorious dove season everywhere. Good Luck.

I really need to find a new dove outfitter around Uvalde/La Pryor, sucks our guy for over 20-years had to retire from the game.

Steve Ramby used to be my go to guy but I haven't hunted with him in 3 years. I cannot remember his outfitter name but they meet at Outback Oasis and I have had some phenomenal hunts out there over the last 20 years or so.

Hunting with a group of 4 guys and we've all had back to back limits in Pearsall (yesterday afternoon and this morning). Probably been around 4 hours of actual hunting time. All mournings except for one Eurasian I shot this morning.

There you go! Yeah, I never had a problem hunting with him and he was always straightforward and honest.

Hunted with Rambie's outfit last night and we did well. About to see what this morning holds. Also got a trifecta yesterday. Only one white wing tho but still counts.

Any luck with the teal? We're currently getting skunked west of El Campo.

Took a few more Friday evening after work. My shooting ratio was better, 16 shots fired.

Hunted Bader Ranch in Hondo w/ my Dad and 5 YO son (his first hunt)

Shot 2 limits over 2 days and could've killed at least 100! Tons of birds. What a trip. Had a terrific hunt this eve.

Would recommend Bader Ranch!

Hunted near beeville this evening. Smoked he first three birds with three shots. Then proceeded to empty three boxes with a net of 12 birds. Rained on us a little but saw a nice rainbow and a nice lightning show off in the distance. Winged a few birds and couldn't find one or two. If I could shoot a damn would've had a limit in an hour.

You need a slump buster, Jack.

South of El Campo this morning

We got 4 in Karnes county. They just are not flying great at my place. We is 5, but it was fun. I recorded the second half. 2 collared and 2 mourning. We'll have some more fun tomorrow evening.

Noticed the same thing.

Went down to the ranch and once halftime rolled around during the Ag game went and sat for a spell. Not a ton of dove flying down in Duval County but enough to keep it interesting.

Took my buddy and my dog to my lease in Llano this past week.

It was the worst dove hunting I've ever experienced. We shot two dove total. Hunted a full evening and the following morning.

But the weather and company made up for the lack of doves

Was with ptery83 this weekend in the Uvalde area hunting with Steve Rambies outfit, events unlimited. Had a great time. There were 10 of us and I think we ended up with around 350 birds for the weekend(Friday through Sunday). Saw a ton of doves. The people not getting limits wasn't because of a lack of birds. There weren't constant swarms, but steady action every hunt. Stayed at a place they arranged for us in Concan with a cook and meals provided. All around great experience.

I love dove hunting, besides hunting predators it's my favorite thing to do. Here's my favorite dove recipe, shoot a limit of doves and give them to someone who likes dove, go home and eat a steak and wait for quail season.
