Looking for some ideas for Groomsman gifts that are outdoors, but not cheesy and cheap. Something they can actually always use.

Was looking at some nice pocket knives, but they all look super cheap......although I suppose it doesn't have to be engraved.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Depending on your budget I think a nice benchmade knife +/- engraving would be pretty sweet. Lasered/Engraved whiskey or glencairn glasses would be another idea.

I've gotten:

- Customized pocket knife with my name on the handle
- Minature whiskey barrel you can age alcohol in
- Really nice leather bound bible
- Domino set (Also was my gift to the groomsmen in my wedding, customized with their last name on the backs)
- Grilling utensil set
- Various collection of beer and whiskey with a nice wooden 6 pack carrier
- A couple of bottles of whiskey with a cusomized bottle opener and koozie

You can search back some older threads too that went for several pages for some additional ideas as I know it's been discussed a few times on the board.

Seems like the flask and pocket knife are some of the most common gifts, I would probably try to find something a bit more unique.

I got all my groomsmen a leather rifle sling with their initials on it. Ordered from Wes at 7x Leather, they came out awesome.

I got my buddies cutting boards from agrams with their names on them. Seemed to be a big hit. Much better than a flask.

Pocket knives are cool but go with a good knife and not some cheesy one. I did Case mini trapper knives for my groomsmen with just a simple engraving of their initials on the blade. That was in 2016 and i know a few of them still carry it regularly (understandably, because Case knives are awesome).

Something like the knives pictured here. They are surprisingly affordable and something they will actually use. (i dont think this was the site i used so make sure to vet them properly before ordering anything)

my vote is a bottle of whiskey, or tequila. Something that will actually be used. Especially if your budgeting under $100 a person.

not a fan of monogrammed crap gift like a pocket knife, toiletry bag, yeti cup, etc.

or pay for the wedding tux. nothing like forking out several hundred bucks at minimum to rent a tux, hotel rooms, bach party expenses etc, only to be gifted some crappy junk gift nobody really cares about as a "thank you"

I did .22 revolvers for my groomsmen and bourbon for my ushers.

As someone who has been in a lot of weddings, no one needs another flask or monogrammed yeti cup. I still use a few of the knives I've been given.

I have made several Groomsman gifts - one of the more popular options is Dopp Kits - that's what I made for all of my Groomsmen.

A friend of mine gave custom cuff links as our gifts. A guy in the Stockyards made them out of silver dollars with our brands on them. Easily the best gift I have gotten and I wear them all the time.

We have an A.G. Russel Knife Co. here in Rogers, AR. Call it quintessential, but I got my groomsmen a nice Bear Grylls Gerber knife that had their names engraved on the blade. 12 years later and still get good feedback on how well they're holding up.

Don't do anti-gun Benchmade.

I got engraved Kershaw's for my groomsmen through BladeHQ, I believe.

The rifle sling idea above is unique, if all your groomsmen would use it.

My son was recently in a wedding and received a personalized Ridge wallet for a groomsman gift. It's nice. And something he will use.

There's a reason 90+% of the responses on these threads are people saying what they gave their groomsmen but not what they've received as groomsmen.....

It's been 30 years now, but I gave all the guys baseballs autographed by Nolan Ryan. I still have mine sitting on my book case in my office.

Truthfully, I was in about a dozen weddings all told and I honestly don't remember what all I got, except for one, and that was the last one about 20 years ago. I also don't remember what I got my groomsmen, either. It was something different for each one.

I did a handle of whiskey. No engraving. No BS. We are grown men and this ain't a baby shower.

I gave heritage 22lr revolvers to my groomsmen and a Sig P226 to my best man. The 226 was a police trade in that we did a big workover on so I didn't have a ton into it. I also had a yeti cups and a bottle of Van Winkle sitting out when the guys came to pick them up. Great start to the day.

Pay for their tuxes or alcohol.

I'm of course always grateful when receiving gifts, but I'm particular when buying things and I find it presumptuous when others pick out specific items for me.

I already own 20 pocket knives and don't need another. If I used an everyday carry I'd go research and buy the exact one I wanted, not one someone else picked out for me.

I already have a dop kit I like. I don't need another.

I already have over a dozen liquor flasks. I don't need another.

I would love an engraved leather rifle sling, but are all of the groomsmen big outdoor guys? Might not be a great gift for everyone if not.

Cutting boards are awesome, but I already have one from agrams. I've actually given these as wedding presents before.

King Ranch shooting bag is awesome, but I already own 2 nice shooting bags that'll prob last a lifetime.

Don't need any more yeti glasses or coolers.

Ridge wallets are cool if you're into minimalist wallets, but it's very specific wallet type and some will likely never use it. I like plain leather tri-fold wallets.

Liquor or tuxes - everyone will appreciate.

I did a leather Dopp kit with nice waxed canvas and leather duffel bag for each of them. Didn't bother putting names or initials.

Every time we get together for a weekend somewhere they are still using them.

The best gift you can give is a non-football season wedding
