1. A deep cut. There's no other way to say it. Getting run-ruled 9-1 in five innings on your own field is flat-out embarrassing. Arizona State jumped on Sidne Peters early after seeing her the day before. Playing from behind, Texas A&M’s energy appeared low. At-bats were lazy, and one run was all the Aggies could muster up.

The scar from a year ago had healed, but it reopened on Sunday. You can bet it will sting for a while.

2. Top of the lineup. A brutal day not to produce.
