I had never heard of this, but this simple device turns your Glock into full auto. I'd love to shoot one just for the novelty of it, but I don't want to spend ten years in a Federal prison. It sucks that law abiding citizens can't get this, but all the criminals will have one.

There have been some shootings in the Houston area using these. Most notable was where 3 officers were shot, you can see video of the initial hail of bullets. I saw videos where people were buying dozens of them online and selling them on the street for $100

Easy to make and getting more common.

But somehow im sure banning assault weapons can fix this.

Attorney friend of mine that handles a lot of Federal cases out of the Ft. Worth area has said that this is being treated like an Emergency Situation at the level he is seeing.

Meanwhile BATF is worrying about "ghost guns" and checking lawful people that legally purchased more than one gun to see if they still have them.

Had one on my G19 when I had the FFL. It was awesome! Fastest machine gun I've ever shot

I have a little .380 Ingram M11. Rate is over 1600 rounds a minute.
For comparison, an Uzi is about 700 rpm.

I never let anyone shoot it when friends are over shooting guns. Dangerously uncontrollable for a novice.

Much like a G17 with a Glock switch. A stupid device for a criminal to have.
Aimed semi auto shooting is much more effective than spraying a 33 round mag in a few seconds.

Accurate full auto fire with a stocked SMG takes a lot of practice.

Criminals running these things do not care about accurate fire. It is all about the shock and awe and look at me factor. Of course that is what criminals that do things with guns are all about period. Unfortunately the responsible, law abiding citizens pay the price.

Fired a full auto Makarov one time at the ranch. While fun at night, hitting anything except the water in the stock tank was impossible. Waste of ammo

Full auto on a pistol is just spray and pray.

On the Cleared Hot podcast with Andy Stumpf (SEAL team 6 guy) he has interviewed a ton of SOF guys and none of them have ever done CQB with their weapons on auto, only semiauto (5.56/300blackout). Said you are way more accurate in semiauto mode than auto. The only exception is with the use of the MP7 since it has almost no recoil and uses a small bullet.

Done a couple of these for dealer samples, modified a 17 and a 19, put the big stick mags in and let'r rip. wildly inaccurate, fun to mag dump, not really even good for suppressive fire. Back when 9milli was cheap and readily available, it was a good conversation piece and wow fun gun to blast with.

I have a lot of time on a Glock 18. All of our cadets get to shoot it each year.

It's not for amateurs…but my then 13 year old son got four four-round bursts out of it not long ago and every round was on the steel at 12 yards…so maybe it is.

Tactically sound? Depends. USSS carried them for years with three 33 round mags in a special rig around each calf. DSS still uses them. As do lots of details in Europe.

Takes training and skill, but they have a useful place.

Not to put too fine a point on it…but you need to understand how these national asset hostage rescue units train. The basic assaulter school run by the Army for SF is six weeks long, six days a week. Shooting live every day.

Over the entire class in the houses you get three (3…1+1+1…3) bullet impacts off target and you are dismissed from the class and returned to your unit. Think about that for a minute…

The prime reason is that every round that doesn't hit something warm and wet to slow it down can go through a wall and injure/kill an Eagle on the other side. Most don't understand that in that mission you have, literally, not much more than a minute to to get to the target (hostages) before the bad guys come to their senses and start killing them. That means that every door, every window, the ceiling, the floor, and walls that are turned into doors, have guys coming through them all at once, literally flooding the structure. Bullets can't go where they are not intended.

It doesn't happen often, but teams have literally been on both sides of a door breaching it at the same time. That's how fast it happens. I have a friend who career was cut short when he caught a deadbolt lock with his knee that had been punched out from the other side by another breacher using a Hatton round. He was putting a strip charge on the door, so it was better that he was hit than if his breach was initiated.

Anyway, full auto has a place. Even G18s.
