Officers had been looking for the man since Wednesday, when an acquaintance alerted them to a video he posted on social media of himself leaving the fish at the house and then dancing around the property, Astoria Police Chief Stacy Kelly said.
Kelly identified the man as Jericho Labonte, 35, of Victoria, British Columbia. Labonte is also wanted in British Columbia on criminal harassment, mischief and failure to comply cases from last fall, Kelly said.
Was trying to figure out why in the hell the guy was even out there in that fat pig. Turns out there's more to the story ... as usual.

There was only one man-the guy on the back. He was rescued and brought back to be treated by EMS. The rest of the thread explains it.
I can see it now. Was watching the video on my phone earlier, and saw the flap to the cover on top opening and it looked like a figure in there. I can see now it was the wind moving the flap, and a chair in there.

So impressive that swimmer was able to get the guy.

It wouldn't be dollars because the pump is measuring in liters. They put a little over 60 gallons in there though

It's in Australia (between the Nissan Patrol and the license plate format, it's obvious). Converting from AUD it's still $375 USD.

Sometimes you don't have a choice because you waited longer than you should have to run back inside the jetties and a storm is rolling in vs. a strong falling tide and kicks up 4' rollers in the POC jetties.

This. I have gone through the area near the end of the channel side of the North Jetty at Galveston a few times when it looked like that with a strong outgoing tide boosted by strong flow coming from water stacked in the bay and strong onshore winds opposing it. You just have to match your speed to the rollers and coast through them. Going out through it is much more of an adventure.

I've been in that situation on the North Jetty at Galveston, except with the storm rolling right out of Galveston Bay down the channel towards the jetties. Nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. Nothing to do but pull the anchor, put on the rain gear, and jog against the waves.
