Somebody got to know the backstory on all this.
Full disclosure- I read this in the comments somewhere it's been shared, so I have no idea of true:
I read the lady with the boat has a commercial dock, shop, bar, something, AND a ferry service that caters to this cove. They said she was trying to run off the air taxi service to protect her ferry service. IDK. My initial thought was 'don't like the noise', 'don't like the wake', 'don't like that the pilot hit it & quit it' or something like that - but a couple seemingly locals said she was definitely crazy and it's been brewing. Even in the commentary of the video you get the impression it's not the first time the behavior has occurred.
She's still crazy.Gus Fring said:What ever came of this?Centerpole90 said:Stat Monitor Repairman said:

(2/4)…who launched motor life boats from STA Cape Disappointment, the air crews arrived on scene to find the vessel floundering in the surf! The surf made rescue by boat dangerous, so the aircrew decided to lower the rescue swimmer and have the owner enter the water for rescue… pic.twitter.com/z92WvzpTG9

(3/4) As he entered the water the vessel capsized but the rescue swimmer was able to safely recover the individual. He was flown back to Coast Guard Base Astoria where EMS was waiting to evaluate and treat the man. pic.twitter.com/woJ72rkFz7

There was only one man-the guy on the back. He was rescued and brought back to be treated by EMS. The rest of the thread explains it.cupofjoe04 said:
Geez. At least 2 souls on board the boat. Neither appeared to get off before the boat got rolled by the wave. You can see the rescue swimmer duck the wave, but there is someone on the back of the boat (who might be OK if he jumped clear), and someone in the top cabin. That was flattened after the boat rights… hope that guy is OK. Scary stuff.
