if you get an aftermarket spout you can drill a small hole on the opposite of the can for a vent and pour twice as fast.then just plug it up with some chewed bubble gum
See my post above from Tractor Supply. Exactly what you need for converting any of the plastic cans into that. You might need to add a vent hole to you can but that's an easy mod.LSCSN said:
I want a can like my dad had in the 80s. Bendable spout, vent, pour.

I have a couple of Scepter cans and they work great, but they're bigger than you need.
Rotopax are another option.

Oh I have one of those too for windless days and getting somewhere quick. It's a cool sensation though when the wind fills the sails and you're silently cutting through the waves at 5kts.Rufnek said:
Sorry, but I just gotta say it. Get rid of the damn blow boat and get you something that burns some carbon and you would have these logistical problems.
Pricy but that's nifty. I like that its tied down and can't roll out of the compartment when the boat is heeled over.Naveronski said:Naveronski said:

What lake is this ?
This is an excellent idea. Overflowing the little quart tank on the outboard is part of the problem. This has some promise. Thanks!Stat Monitor Repairman said:
Reading more about your issue .. im wondering if a battery filler jug might work better than any gas can. If you've never used one of these things, theres a spring loaded valve in the spout. Nothing comes out until you put the spout in the tank fill and press down. It stops automatically before it overflows. Made for filling batteries but don't see why it wouldn't work for gas.
Uh, I don't think that's the way your manual says you should dock your sailboat.HumpitPuryear said:
Thanks for the replies.

Took a 500 year flood to put it there and a crane to get it down again. Some of my neighbors had a lot worse.

I wonder how many hundreds of thousands of gallons of gas has been spilled on the ground and into the water on account of the environmentally friendly gas can spouts?
Great job guys.
