Maybe just read the section in the regulations about tagging the deer before you go deer hunting for the first time. It is very straightforward.

I think I mentioned in my post if you're going to hunt something you should learn how to do it legally. My point was as someone who hasn't ever hunted deer I've heard about tagging and have seen them on my license, but never heard about the harvest log until watching the show. I would say part of my lack of knowledge is because I don't do it. If I was goinn to deer hunt I'd look into it more.

Typically they will get to the lease a few days early, shoot a deer, and then fill out their tags as if they shot it opening day. However, the 13 inch rule makes up a good portion of them, as well, and they are never even close.

I wish I'd watched until the end but I stopped when the credits started. Now I know what Morgan Inman meant when he said it was a special episode. I'll have to go back and re-watch.

I am not seeing new episodes pop up. Need to go figure out what is going on.

Started last week, episode 2 was today. Had a wierd thing where it didn't show the episode and season before like it normally does though on directv.

Jayme Dischaaf lives on the country road of some property we have in snook. I was watching an episode where he was trying to get cow back in a fence and noticed the property was our neighbor's.

Said they got skunked fishing so stopped by a friends house on the way back in and picked them up. But they weren't even frozen.

No matter what is not legal since the wardens can not determine type or length of fish to make sure they were all legal.

Love the show but sure wish I had gotten one of the many warnings they give out. A number of years ago, I went with my brother on opening day of dove season. I do a lot of shooting but not a lot of hunting. I had inherited my Dad's Remington 1100 that he bought in 1963. I'd shot it many times mostly at clay pigeons.

Opening day and we hadn't even shot at a bird yet when the GW came around. Showed our licenses, then he wanted to check our guns. Then he wanted my driver's license and I was a little slow on the uptake as he was writing me a ticket for an unplugged gun. The gun had been in the family for 40 years. I always THOUGHT it was plugged so I never even attempted to load more than two in the tube. Shame on me. When I got home, I immediately cut a piece of dowel to plug it. I even made a plug for my Benelli M2 that holds 8+1 for 3 Gun matches. Would love to see the look on a GW when he saw me using that gun, only to find out it was plugged.

Wrote a letter to the judge in Bell County, but he was unsystematic.

I got popped coming back from twin palms many years ago. It was the first time I ever fished away from home base and it never even occurred to me. I understood the violation, but really was ignorant of the rule since I've always cleaned at the dock or house when we got back.

He gave me one ticket as I pleaded ignorance and forgiveness. He said "I did give you a break, I could have written up three more tickets for each of the other 3 filets". I took my ticket and he took the fish.

I like watching for Lauren Iles. She's easy on the eyes!

Also, a dude I work with in summers for tennis in San Antonio just became a game warden and is supposed to be on there soon

I've heard multiple rumors around burleson county about jayme deschaaf (sp) being reassigned? I do not know if that's true? I just thought it was odd.

Yeah, when I was at A&M, we got tagged for no life jackets in our boat. It was the first trip of the spring and when he asked to see them, I immediately remembered that we had taken them out to clean them and they were drying out at home. He lacked any sympathy and promptly wrote our ticket.

Got a warning once for not leaving wings on a duck breast. But to be fair it was a guided hunt and the guide was doing all the cleaning. Warden gave him a stern warning and let us be since all our stories lined up.

Do they ever show their patrols in POC? I might know some people that should be featured.

They show the Calhoun county wardens from time to time busting the hundreds of illegal oystermen that launch out of Seadrift every year. I've only seen them intercept one boat over all the episodes that was actually following all the rules. We call them bay rapers....

Seemed like a nice guy on the TV show but.....

Story we heard from a family member who has land in the Deanville/Frenstat area was: in his first month or two on the job he went up to a guy who has a ranch with high game fence down the road from our family and basically said "I know y'all are breaking some sort of laws/rules out here and I'm gonna catch y'all at it". Doesn't seem like a great way to make a first impression if true.
