Yes, you do.

I don't thinks it's that ridiculous when you add up legal fees for both the criminal and civil cases that will likely be brought.HookThis said:He's trying to sell insurance, that's a ridiculous summts6175 said:Mine told us that plus get ready for $100k+ in legal fees.....'03ag said:

Depends on where you are. My brother owned a convenience store and shot a robber in the back as he ran away. He had seen him on a security camera holding a knife (as I recall) on one of the girls at the registers. Didn't kill him but was no-billed. City cops, sheriff's deputies and one game warden brought him those 5 packs of buckshot or slugs for a couple of weeks after the incident.CT'97 said:
I'm not speculating on what happened in this instance. But even in Texas, if you follow a thief out of your residence/business and shoot them as they run away you are not protected and had better hire some very good lawyers.

Georgia has a stand your ground law too for your habitation, real estate or personal property. You can defend non-habitation real estate or property, though, only if you think a "forcible felony" will be committed.AstroAggie15 said:03ki11erAG said:
Just read this which is interesting.Quote:
Police spokesman John Elder confirmed at midnight that one person was in custody and one person was dead but named neither.
Elder also said he believes Minnesota's "duty to retreat" law means a businessowner doesn't have a right to defend their property with lethal force because it's not their home.
Glad I live in Texas that doesn't have a bull**** duty to retreat law.
Thugs here know if they even thought about rioting they'd be shot. And that's a good thing.
Remind me to never go to that ****ty state.03ki11erAG said:

At $200-$400 per hour for a good lawyer and a case that could be in court for years I don't think $100K is out of the question.HookThis said:He's trying to sell insurance, that's a ridiculous summts6175 said:Mine told us that plus get ready for $100k+ in legal fees.....'03ag said:
