I want to do an official OB poll. How will your Thanksgiving turkey be cooked this year? Blue star your answer below and add any color. I'll be smoking mine on a BGE.

Smoking it on the KJ by following the same method I have for the last 2 years and it's turned out great.

Doing Arron Franklin's simple brine:

Smoked but... Just remember, the neck needs to be removed as well as the giblets... I may not have known about that last year and cooked the neck inside..

One smoked, one roasted. Nothing can beat a properly stuffed and roasted turkey in my honest opinion. Smoked done right is a near second. Fried is a distant third.

This guy is great. He has a good pork belly burnt end recipe too. He lost so much weight I didn't recognize him till he started talking with that I'm guessing Georgia accent.

Turkey on the Primo XL I've done it a lot of ways and on several stick burners, but this way is superior. Plus, since its a ceramic, you can sit outside and 'stay with the smoker' and not actually do anything but people think youre doing stuff and that is pretty great.

Yep.

Wife: "Can you..."
Me: "Sorry, babe. I'm tending to the turkey. Don't want it to get too dry." <act like I'm messing with some stuff>
