Abducted duck:
Our house is next to the HOA pond. A friend gave us two Pekin ducks to keep on the pond. One of the ducks has a deformed leg so it struggles to walk and swim but it manages to get around using it's bill as a crutch.
My wife saw a lady (not a known neighbor) acting concerned about the duck and let her know it was deformed not injured, they were our ducks, and we feed them. The lady mentioned that the duck needs to go to a rehab facility that she was familiar with.
Later that day the duck is gone and a neighborhood kid said a lady took the duck because it was injured.
I checked my security cams and saw a city Animal Control truck pull up to the pond.
We called Animal Control but they say they didn't take the duck. They also didn't know of any local duck rehabs.
I figured the OB might help. Anyone know of any "duck rehabs" in Tarrant County near the HEB area? Any ideas what to do other than posting flyers?
