Wearing shorts over cotton, traditional style boxers usually helps tremendously to mitigate swamp ass (very sweaty ass crack), as it allows for some air flow. However, it can lead to "batwing" if it's really bad hot outside.

I'll let y'all think about that for a moment.

Thats the real issue here. The problem with traditional boxers is that you need to prevent your ball sack from getting stuck to your leg causing crotch rot. If you let that get going, you will be in a world of **** for weeks if not months.
