I'm looking for a cheap .30-06 - something to throw in the back of a mule or truck. It's going to get my nightvision mounted on it for hogs. I'm rough on my hog guns so nothing fancy.

I'm not a huge fan of semi auto hunting rifles like this (outside of the AR platform) and definitely not if it's going to be your only hunting rifle. If I were going to have one rifle and scope in that price range, and that caliber (270 is a fine choice for all around Texas hunting btw), I'd either get a Ruger American, or Tikka T3x, or a Weatherby Vanguard, plus a Leopold VX3 scope and some decent rings. Here's a Ruger American for $450 plus a Leopold VX3 for $600:
