Dahlias in liberty hill. Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, fried okra with jalapeo cream gravy on top. Great desert menu. Great prices.

I have access to a tenderizer and made cutlets from an inside round.
I went flour-buttermilk/egg-HEB frying flour.
The frying flour is seasoned enough and we love using it.
I have a deep fryer and we have been doing that lately since it is easier. Then we just use McCormick country gravy packet for the gravy.
If I have more time, I would use the cast iron skillet and make brown gravy with onions.

Find a DQ.
This. Prefer cream gravy over brown but gotta say that a good New Mexico green chili over CFS is pretty damn good.DatTallArchitect said:Brown gravy is for yankeeseric76 said:Brown gravy on a chicken fried steak!!!!!!!!!!!!!AgsMnn said:

I crack 2 eggs in a large bowl, add about a cup of milk and some maple syrup. Mix that up and soak meat in it. I crush a sleeve of saltines and mix with flour and add salt lick bbq rub and toss the meat in it and fry in veggie oil in a cast iron skillet. No complaints

I got some good options so turn it into a statewide thread.
Any more recipes would be welcome. My chicken recipe is similar to what's posted in some but I use 2/3 flour 1/3 Italian bread crumbs.
So plain flour then egg then mix above
