So I've been a big fan of RTIC for a while now. The zipper on my 40 soft side broke and is beyond any type of repair that I could make. It's out of warranty with RTIC by 7 months (1 year warranty)...yes it was half the price of a yeti when I bought it, but now I either need to buy another one (which would have a 1 yr warranty also) or pony up and buy a yeti that has a lifetime warranty. A buddy of mine just had the zipper on his 3yr old Yeti 30 soft cooler break, and yeti gave him $300 in credit to apply to whatever he would like to purchase. What is yalls experience? I'm beginning to think that the soft coolers aren't created equally. And if they are, the lifetime warranty of the yeti may be worth the extra $$$.

They had me send a soft side in for zipper repair and I ended up with a brand new cooler. The original was well out of warranty. I was only out the cost of 1 way shipping. Make sure you use the zipper lube or buy a bottle of silicone lube and use it regularly.

Same. Except for their cups... The RTIC ones are just slightly too big to fit in my F150 cup holders.

While I don't see any difference in the hard coolers, the Yeti soft sided are clearly superior.

I'm about to find out what the RTIC Customer Service experience is like....my soft side 40 is coming apart at the seems on the bottom.

It was a gift last Christmas, so I'm within the 1yr warranty.

If you take it to an upholstery repair shop, like Trendsetters in Katy or National in Brookshire, they can replace the zipper by cutting out the old and sewing in a new one. Usually it's pretty high-quality work. I had all the zippers on a 2-man tent replaced for like $60 so I'd bet a cooler's <$50.

Interesting. I have an old RTIC 20 softside that works pretty well as long as you lube it. I was backing up the other day to hook up a trailer, cut the wheel and ran over it. It held air pretty well as it felt like I was driving up on a curb. Other than a small amount of the ice water being forced out and some scuff marks it performed well.

RTIC cups fit fine in my tundra as well

I know...cool story bro but I will keep giving RTIC my business...

Virtue signal to the SJW's and their anti-2A cries. I guess they forgot that they market their products to outdoorsmen who tend to shoot things with guns.

I thought Yeti ended all of its discount programs (they don't need them) and the NRA was just cut along with everyone else? Fake news?

It was just a coincidence that they (and many other companies) ended their discount programs around the same time the SJW's were having their cycle.

"YETI severed ties with the NRA and is now engaging in damage control after a backlash from many of its customers. In early March, YETI refused to place a previously negotiated order from NRA-ILA, citing 'recent events' as the reason a clear reference to the tragedy in Parkland, Florida. YETI then delivered notice to the NRA Foundation that it was terminating a 7-year agreement and demanded that the NRA remove the YETI name and logo from all NRA digital assets, as well as refrain from using any YETI trademarks in future print material," Marion Hammer said.

"YETI is trying to spin the story otherwise, those are the facts. While Yeti can change their story, but they can't change the facts. Whether their changing story is due to the recent cancellation of the IPO from their New York City owners is a question only they can answer."
This is a quote from Marion Hammer. Also in the article linked below.

article is from back in April when all this BS happened. Its one thing to pull the plug, its another (and why I say **** yeti) is try to do damage control like a little *****.

Not sure what your point is.

Hunters, shooters, gun enthusiasts and 2nd amendment supporters are the last folks you want to tick off. Especially when they helped build a good chunk of your business. They have long memories, unlike the SJWs who are on to their next victim and have forgotten all about Yeti's action.

The NRA Foundation, not the NRA.

For more than two decades, The NRA Foundation has served the needs of freedom-loving Americansacross this great nation. We continue to teach freedom through programs that instill knowledge about our nation's great history. We build partnerships with leaders in our communities and provide grants that are instrumental in funding programs that support our shared vision.

Since our establishment in 1990, we've awarded nearly $369 million in grant funding in support of the shooting sports. These grants provide essential funding that benefits programs such as youth education, law enforcement training, hunter education, conservation, firearms and marksmanship training and safety, and much more.

If you're in the Houston area, take it over to the retail store off 290. It's attached to their corporate office. They may be able to help you. If not, you can get one a good bit cheaper in there. Normally at least 20% cheaper than retail.

This is correct.

I have read about their zippers on the yeti soft sided. They cost yeti over $100 per unit. Those laser welded units are no joke.

I have had 2 of their soft sided units for years without problem...

I would not spend the extra for their hard coolers though.

Call RTIC.
Same issue with mine. Same time frame.
Giving me a new one if I pay to ship it back.

So not supporting a discount program for the NRA = bad

Blatantly stealing products from an Aggie founded company = good.

Since everyone is keeping score on boycotts.
