Looking for a heavy duty dog bed for lab/heeler mix. We are currently on 4th or 5th now. He keeps demolishing them while in kennel. Any Suggestions?

Don't put one in the kennel. There. Just saved you $100.

Give him a bath towel till he quits tearing up the beds. Perhaps the dog needs a) more exercise b) a mentally challenging toy or c) a smaller kennel/crate.

We got this for our very chewy lab after she destroyed 2 beds in her night crate. Going on two years with this one and still looks brand new. After she figured out it wasn't easy to find a seam to tear, she lost interest.

Not sure what types you've used and how he's demolished them but we have two Of these and they have to be 6+ years old now.

Two boxers but they were never used in their kennels.

Another vote for this place. We got ours here as well. Different model though. We have the x-large orthopedic version for our 145lb dog. We actually have two of them. Both are great quality.

i treat dog beds as disposable items. all of them eventually get dirty enough on the inside that they smell regardless. so, i just buy cheap ones from Home Goods. don't feel bad when they get torn up or tossed.

yep, or on or around the kennel. i put in moving blankets that you would use to move heavy furniture in my dogs kennel. he likes them and he doesnt tear them up.

Our rescue would come unhinged in her crate when we were away. She'd destroy everything in it. If dog PTSD is a thing, she has it. Solution: no more crate and Dramamine for car rides to keep her from frothing at the mouth and throwing up. Only dog I've ever had that didn't like being in his/her own personal space. Smart/sweet dog. We just leave her out and she's fine.

I got a Kong brand dog bed and it's out lasted all others I've bought.

He pulls at seams and pulls all stuffing out of them

Had the same problem and finally got this one. No issues since.
