I am in Round Rock. I have seen a web site before but cannot remember its name
Bull crap. I tagged a hog with my Cheytac. Twas glorious.giddings_ag_06 said:
Well, I just bought a 300 win mag... thanks guys. Now I guess I gotta book an elk or buffalo hunt since that's too much gun for a hog. I have everything else covered up to 270 WSM already, so that was the best option for me.

I had 2. I couldn't decide between a .270 and the .300 and ended up deleting the .270. I was amazed how cheap my cart total was with both and damn near hit checkout, but it's going to be hard enough sneaking one gun into the gun safe without the wife seeing and asking questions. 2 guns? Not worth it.jftx04 said:giddings_ag_06 said:

Just bought the same one. BUT, considering i started with 3 rifles in my cart and only ended up with one I consider it a success. Thanks OP

I am seriously about buy one of these. Dumb question is there a web site listing FFL? Need one on this
also would the local Academy act as my FFL?
You had me at "for everyone on the thread..."TheEyeGuy said:
For everyone on the thread... budget yet quality scope to go with budget yet quality rifle. Want me to talk to Riton and Rudolph tomorrow to see if I can get a good deal on a 4-16x or so?

Should have something better than that at the pricepoint. The DBs are good, but Japanese glass > Filipino glass if I can get something situated.SteveBott said:
I'm interested. About to buy a vortex diamondback HP 4-16-42 for 358.
There is more to it than that I believe. Sometimes this is like buying a new phone with 4k resolution and 5000 frames per second, mostly marketing since I can't resolve that anyway.milkman00 said:
Eyeguy- Note that most of the models are Forest, designed for a larger objective, supposedly. 42 doesn't seem that large. What's that saying. ....Go big or go home.

My idea of budget scope and the industry's idea of budget scope are not the same.
Any decent scopes for $300-$350 range?

Uh... Rudolph 4-16x50 VH with T3 or T5 reticle... how does $600 sound? MAP on that is usually $875
Actually, yeah, but you're dropping down a to the H1 series. 4.5-14x44. Those run like $250. Good scope just completely different level.AgLA06 said:
Do they have anything in the same price range smaller than 50mm?. I'm looking for something with some zoom, but lighter weight for a mountain rifle build.
