If the title thing is an issue, I live in a state where trailers under 2,500lbs aren't licensed or registered. Maybe it could be sold and then sold back to TX?

Ok, from what I've read they deserve a bad review from Stephan and whoever else is dealing with them directly. However it is against Google's terms to leave reviews if you aren't doing business with them or the review is about someone else's experience. Also the review you left was probably immediately forwarded to the business and made this situation even more difficult to navigate.

As a business owner I have experienced false reviews and there is nothing to be done about them. Although I have had only about six bad reviews over multiple review sites in thirty years it still bothers me that someone would do this. Most of the bad reviews in our case happened after failure to receive payment and there being no indication of dissatisfaction. After eventually turning the account over to collections and the debt hits their credit reports, the bad reviews follow in retribution. And there was the one where a stepmother of a client was not happy when we followed the law instead of bowing to her wishes. And people just make stuff up. Smh.

Even though Gator Pits may deserve negative reviews, leave it to those who are actually involved. Use other social media to put a negative word out there if you are so motivated. And Aggie Code of Honor in mind while doing so. Gig'em.

I have a Primo, but if I ever buy a traditional smoker, it will be a Lang. I had one from Gator Pits all picked out though, but thanks to the thread, I can scratch it off the list.

This guy needs to realize that this is a f-ing Smoker and he's just another pit maker. It is NOT a Space Vessel and he is not NASA. The f-ing high school kids build pits. I don't believe there is any trade secrets or anything that sets one pit from another other than material and customer service, and you can get the same material from another manufacturer. This is one of those businesses that LIVES AND DIES on customer service and perceived reputation. You can literally buy a f-ing metal box to hold fire and meat almost anywhere.

And smokers built from tube are antiquated and cheap. He's ripping people of at these prices. I predict he's out if business in 18 months.

I'm not even wasting my time reviewing this clown.

I feel bad for original purchaser. I'm paying him more than he asked. It's not fair that he loses all his money due to late delivery and the fact he had to leave Texas.

After dealing with this guy and seeing the way he operates, I just wanted others to know how he treats his customers.

I truly believe Mr gator pit thought he'd get to keep this smoker and sell it again. That's why it's been so difficult to work it out. The $25/ day storage fees is imo the biggest ****** bag move I've ever seen

It's comical. Anyway. I'll go get it pretty quick. I'm sure that'll be a fun day. I'm not putting up with any more crap off this guy.

I use an info@ email for my personal business needs. It IS a public consumption email, but it is also a direct email for my business. It is NOT my personal email that I send dirty jokes to my buddies with. It's no different than owner@ or firstnam@...just another alias.

I'd give it a shot and see if you can get it resolved asap.

Howdy Ags. I don't have a dog in this fight but hate injustice on either side. I came across a thread on FB and lead me to this forum.

I have 4 personal fiends that have bought pits from Gator Pits and not one has a bad thing to say. They contact you several times to give you updates on the pit, fab, construction, paint, and delivery. You don't build a reputable business by screwing customers over. There is more to this that is not being said. I too felt bad for Stephan Wall when I first started reading this thread. Then things just didn't add up.

    The FB thread mentioned harassing and explicit sexual calls to his staff. That's not how Ags behave. Like I said, we don't have the full back story, or the " other side of the story". I can try to reach him and get his side of the story before we start hurting someone business.

  • You buy a premium expensive product for a one time event?
  • Customer had a deadline to meet, Gator Pit missed it

  • Once the event is over you don't have use for that premium pit?
  • None of Gator Pit's business

  • How were you going to pick it up?
  • Would've picked up easily, if it were ready on time

  • Why haven't you picked it up yet?
  • Don't feel same need for the product now. It's already paid for in full. Buyer should be able to easily transfer it, if the selling company was worth a damn.

    I'd like to hear his side as well. I'm sure I'll hear Monday when I go get it. He won't let me pick it up Saturday. He doesn't work Saturday.

    He won't hold it for me until the 14th of April when I'll be in college station for the spring game without charging me $25/ day storage fees

    He won't transfer the title to me. We have to mail it back and forth ( which I can understand to some degree)

    Basically all he will do is take your money. Make it difficult to pick it up and miss his deadline.

    You're wrong about the "other side". I've got his emails. You send me your email and you can post them here. It'll make you sick

    Want to get a good laugh? Call the lady at the desk. She'll put you in your place quick, fast and in a hurry

    Gotta make a joke out of this somewhere because it's not funny. I'm not promising this because I need to see how it hauls first ( im thinking about taking my big trailer up there and strapping it down on that so I can move along a little quicker). I'm not a fan of two wheel trailers.

    The real victim is the Stephan. He paid in full. Guy missed his deadline. He's selling it at a discount. I'm not going to let him eat that loss. It's just not fair.

    Nope. We aren't posting emails. This is between you/the OP/ and the business. We aren't going further with this. Many of folks on this forum run their own businesses and they know the responsibility to treat customers well. They also know that pitchforks and bad reviews do real damage. We aren't permitting a mob against a business. Email the moderator if you have any questions.

    If the OP wants me to post an update as this thing resolves, then that will be taken into consideration.
