Ok, I searched around and this was the latest thread I could find, but I figured a bump would be better than a new thread.
We live in a new build in Grimes County in what used to be a pasture, and are starting to get hit with pests (just that time of year).
The main culprits are fire ants, wolf spiders, garden spiders, scorpions, and brown recluse.
Most of em don't bother me (been keeping the ants at bay for the most part), but started to find a couple scorpions and brown recluses inside running along the baseboards, and I got a 10 month old that already shows a proclivity for chasing down bugs.
I hit the perimeter of the house with Demon from Tractor supply (foundation, eaves, windows, weep holes, door jambs), and I am gonna apply it to the fence this weekend as well.
I read that I can use Demon on the inside as well, but I wanted to see if there was a better option since I got the young'un exploring around the house, and I don't want him coming in contact with residual stuff. If the demon is still the best, any guidelines for using it around baseboards with carpet?
I also wanted to see what the all knowing OB would recommend for the attic. Is a dust the best bet for long term deterrent? If so any recs?
Once I get the inside cleared out, I plan to maintain everything with exterior only control, and limit the application areas so that I can still hopefully maintain a healthy population of good bugs outside (wolf spiders, garden spiders, etc.) How often do y'all recommend re-applying?
Thanks for any advice y'all can provide.
