Two points to make:

Anyone further digging on the Taylors - if you look at the co-owner's name on the registration, or check out the CAD info for that address, you will note that the co-owner/spouse has a distinctive name, and it doesn't take much to find her Twitter (and then her kids' social media, etc.) - and note that she is of Asian descent, and that her husband Randall is white. It isn't this couple. I still can't corroborate the VIN that was posted with the plate number provided by the victim.

In the video, the car seems to have a driver's side fuel door - but the vehicle in the Google photo (in front of the Coppell address) doesn't.

It's not the Taylor's. they either stole the car or the Taylors sold it.

That was my thinking. A quick Google for Randal Taylor comes up with a dude who's a VP at a company called "Dunham & Company" based in Plano.

edit: they could have swapped plates too.

If I felt confident that the Fort Worth PD would actually arrest them I would. The detective working my case hasn't even called me back. So I can hand everything over to the PD and get nothing back with no arrest or get my stuff back. We'll see. I've had good experiences with the Fort Worth PD and bad ones.
