Have been asked to help select one of these for a family group in July. I know a guided trip is better but that's not in the budget. It will be one of the 8-hour offshore trips. I've been out with both of these outfits with groups from work or a family members work group but it's been years.Cost is within $5 between the two for the 8-hour trip so that's not an issue.

Also what bait and where from to supplement the squid they usually dole out for these outings?

I can vouch for Galveston Party Boats! They're great people with many Aggies in the family... I've gone out on several private outings with them in the past, and we've always had a successful trip. They also employ Sea Aggies as deck hands. Good Luck!

Went on Galveston Party Boat when a Sea Ag buddy was working for them. Great time. Caught a bunch of fish.
