Nice 3/4" rain in Gillespie County early morning today. Can't beat it.
Please God no! My project site near Karnack has had ~90" of rain in the last 365 days.TheVarian said:

I feel your pain...but part of my problem is trying to put two monitoring wells into a RAMSAR "Wetland of International Importance" near Caddo Lake. It is wet enough normally...but with the rain we have gotten, we have been waiting nearly 2 years to get a window when it is dry enough to get in and do what we need without unnecessarily disturbing the wetland.
We are already using tracked rigs to get done what we have already finished. They can't go where we need to get to right now. Only thing that would work right now is an airboat rig. Fugro used to have one, but I am not sure if they still do. They were damn proud of it last time I looked into pricing with them though...danieljustin06 said:txags92 said:

ATV and track rigs are an option to put in monitoring wells. There are quite a few drilling companies in Texas that can install them.
I think they may have gotten rid of it. They had a driller killed driving one back in the mid 90s.danieljustin06 said:
I can understand why. I don't think anyone else has one. At least not that I have heard.
God I hope not. Would love for it to even out a bit and not spend deer season in waders and slugging through a swamp.Aggie_3 said:
So is it expected to be similar to last year where it's dry as a desert until end of August then we start getting soaked again?
That is exactly what happen at my ranch yesterday afternoon. Less than one inch total on hay fields since baling and fertilizing five weeks ago. Odd for SE Tx.MouthBQ98 said:
Wind, clouds, lightning, thunder, but then the friggin storm splits in two and goes a few miles east and west of my place. Not one drop. WTF?
Not really. I just am beyond tired of the flooding. Have enjoyed the dry weather we've had, but yesterdays light rain wasn't bad at all. Just enough to wet everything a bit, but not enough to leave standing water in every low spot in the county like we had been having for the last 4+ years.STX Ag said:
No rain here in nueces county in about 8 weeks. Ground is rock hard with huge cracks everywhere.
Smellbad 99 would love it.
