Yeah, I don't know where he is getting it from. The forecast doesn't show it.

So technically, it isn't elevation above sea level, but elevation above the survey benchmark NAVD88 +0.6'.

Also, you aren't far off about the releases from Mansfield Dam being like Niagara Falls. Right now they are releasing about 28000 CFS and normal flow over Niagara Falls is 85000 CFS. It is a lot of water. However, for reference, during Harvey, Lake Houston was releasing 400,000 CFS at the peak. That was an inordinate amount of water.

search Llano River Cresting on google and you'll find several news sources saying they expected the Llano to crest this morning in Llano near yesterday's crest but later they said it's not going to get near that.Aggie_3 said:FHKChE07 said:

I'm surprised there's not a legion of whitewater kayakers down there as there is some epic class 4-5 stuff going on.
They have their own Marshals to do it too. I was once threatened to go on a ride with them by an overzealous LCRA project manager on a project I was working on. Fun times.Kenneth_2003 said:The lakes are closed to recreation by LCRA.MouthBQ98 said:

Not going to get political... I don't know the ins and outs of who all owns what and where along that river. I suspect it's LCRA as they're pretty much 4th in the chain of command along that river behind The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. But for now, if you're caught on the river or lakes in that area for recreational purposes, you're going to jail.

Anyone know about the roads around Llano? I'm supposed to go up tomorrow to check on feeders and get things ready for the season.
I come in off 29, go through town on 16 over the bridge, and then turn on 2323. Checked TxDot and ATX floods, not seeing any road closures. Just checking to see if anyone had some first hand knowledge of things.
