5" and still raining in northern Burnet county. Rain has missed us many times this year, but my dry tanks are now full once again!

We got almost all inch and a half this weekend which was pretty nice. Unfortunately the Western half of the state didn't really get much and they need it. It rained through Eastern Colorado, then it dried up at the Kansas border, then redeveloped right around Salina, missing the part of the state that really needed it.

Kinda like a deal I saw years ago for people driving in winter in the South.
If you run off the road, just sit tight for a little while, some guys in a 4 wheel drive will be along soon.

turned our work site and our camp into a mud hole today. Thankfully it dried out pretty quickly. Rained all yesterday evening and thru the night here in Toyah.

We got almost 4.5" overnight. Pond above me is overflowing and sending a river through my back yard. My creek was completely dry yesterday and there's currently an 8 foot wall of water running down it. Good stuff.

I was in Houston when Allison hit; lots of rain and MAJOR flooding; so if you are in the area be prepared and DON"T drive through standing water

55% chance of La Nia.

Considering it is a 50/50 option between La Nia and El Nio that isn't saying much.

I hope not. I'm tired of 80 degree winters.

I don't remember coming out of summer with this little drought before, and this next batch of rain may go a long way toward addressing the dry areas.

That map is garbage. There are parts of Bee county with single digit rainfall totals this year.

Agreed. Here in Lampasas county I haven't had any meaningful rain since May. Driest it's been in the last 4-5 years.

Parts of Kansas that were getting pretty dry again are getting some nice rain today. I was skeptical because the last few days that heavy rain forecast kept slipping further and further south. But pheasant country got a nice bit of water today. I'm supposed to go out there to chase chickens this week so hopefully the roads aren't too muddy. ...but if they are, oh well, it's a good tradeoff.

Too bad teal season ended yesterday because this probably brought in some new birds.
