Still haven't figured it out yet, but I'm certain the rivers either side are a major player.
Drove through La Grange and Columbus over the past couple of days and was really surprised how brown it was in this area.

Victoria Calhoun matagorda Wharton ft bend and brazoria counties are lush green. We are sitting on a $200 mil cotton crop down here that really needs to be harvested. We missed 2015 and 2016. Guys can't afford 3 in a row
They're harvesting furiously in S. Bee County and San Patricio right now. Crops look good.

Actually 6 straight days of drizzle would he the best thing for the areas who haven't had rain... like College Station

I live in Lubbock, I had nearly 2 1/2 inches of rain, last night - this morning. More expected later tonight.

We just moved out here about 1 year ago. I came from Wichita Falls so I know a little bit about crappy weather. Except for a few weeks in the spring when the dirt flies- I have been pleasantly surprised.
Cant help it, friggin tired of rain. Still have standing water from 3 weeks ago. As soon as it starts to dry up...another cell stops over us. 3/4" on Sunday - juat enough to make this morning a muddy beetch and slow us down yet again.
Last time i remember it being this wet was early 90's. Just want it to slow down some, not asking much.

And the hellacious cell today probably cost me about $25,000. At least a 4 day delay on progress.

I suspect this forecast is presuming 90L heads our way.
