We were supposed to get heavy rain all day today. We got .04" last night and that appears to be all we're getting. We were supposed to get an inch on Wednesday and got about 1/4". But, those 2 rainfalls together are more than we've gotten the rest of this year to date.

Great on the coast where we got 1-2", but I'll take a hard pass on 6" during planting season every time.

Brazos river cresting tomorrow at our place at 43'. Gonna be close to hauling cows out.

We ended up with just around 7" total since noon Tuesday. I watched both of my neighbors put down weed & feed Monday evening, I have to think most of it washed away.

I managed to make it into the office parking garage downtown just when the big stuff came down.

So many bashed windshields rolling around town this afternoon...

Rain was all north TX and points southeastward, areas of the panhandle seeing fires did not receive any rain.

Rain hit us here in New Braunfels pretty good. I thought a tornado was coming because I woke up to my town home shaking due to the wind that was in the storm cell

Prolly the strongest wind I've seen not to be a part of a hurricane or tornado I looked out the window and the cars outside for visibly shaking from it

We got dumped on in the Angleton area - hellacious thunder and lightening, lots of heavy rain for about a 2 hour window. Started around 1:45 - 2:00 in the morning. I was worried about hail, but doesn't appear we got any that far south of Houston thankfully.

Really crossing my fingers for the most recent forecast. Probably more than some of you CenTex folks want, but we need rain in Kansas pretty bad again. Wheat crops are struggling. Surface water impoundments aren't too bad right now thanks to last summer's deluge, but we had a very dry fall and winter.

Looking at some serious rain out in Stephens county this weekend... Could potentially be a flooding risk. Last year we couldn't leave the property at times because the creeks were so high!!
