Early Monday morning in the span of a mile in Muenster, one side of town got 4" and the other got ~2.5". Had some flooding and one lake is back to full and the other had gone over the road.

As long as Fischers is open, you can eat strudel and watch it rain and be happy.
Luckily, very little of the town can flood and it won't affect the important things. Like beer stores.

So just eyeballing things, it looks like for much of central and east central Texas this could be pretty bad. That corridor of 4-7" of rain includes the Brazos and Trinity River basins, which already look to be completely full. How much more water can the lower 2/3 of the Brazos and all of the Trinity River basin hold before they pop?

which is why the chatter since the weekend has been about the rain event. if this thing meanders along it won't be good for those folks or people downstream.

They haven't been able to release water from Ray Roberts or Lewisville at any appreciable rate to make a difference. So, it's not going to take much to make a bad situation very bad. Depending on the amount of rain, it is possible that 35 going over Lewisville might have to be closed. It's at least 6 feet from the TOP of the bridge. I know that it looked to be about a foot from the bottom of the bridge at it's highest recently.

5-6" for Hays County

Growing up this would be the perfect kind of day to go to Schlitterbahn. No crowds and not a lot of lightning from this kind of weather makes a great time.

Just updated the models. Storm is on track (for now) to hit dead center between sea drift (San Antonio bay) and pt lavaca (matagorda bay), slight further west than predicted.

You should be good. Need to drive over the dam. Haven't been in a week or so

Drove over Belton Dam this morning. Still about 12-15 from the spillway. If Bill dumps as much rain here and around the Hamilton/Gatesville area that it is supposed to, then things could get very interesting.

Lake Belton is currently at 609.8' and the spillway is at 631. Still quite a ways to go. It's still steadily climbing due to the release from Proctor.
FHKChE07
How long do you want to ignore this user?

It shouldn't be climbing because it is releasing more than Proctor.
